Job Description
As an Account Executive at Taylor / Burke Communications, you will support the execution of strategic communications initiatives across a diverse portfolio of luxury, lifestyle, fashion, hospitality, and design clients. This role is ideal for a proactive and confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, is comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, and can represent the agency professionally in front of clients, editors, and brand partners.
Key Responsibilities
Ideate relevant press angles, research media targets, and execute pitching efforts to secure editorial coverage
Conduct ongoing editorial research to identify timely press opportunities and support client strategy
Monitor media for press hits and manage clipping, organization, and distribution of coverage to clients and internal teams
Assist in the preparation of client activity reports and press coverage recaps
Support brand gifting initiatives and coordinate sample trafficking logistics across showroom and editorial placements
Maintain and update pitch grids, RSVP trackers, and media distribution lists in Muck Rack for assigned clients
Assist with the development of media briefs ahead of client interviews, editorial opportunities, and press meetings
Provide support in the planning and execution of brand events, press previews, and activations, including the creation of event face sheets and real-time guest tracking
Draft meeting agendas and compile client call recaps, supporting follow-up actions and internal coordination
Contribute to visual storytelling initiatives, including showroom organization, sample management, and mood board updates
Support new business research by compiling competitive landscape insights, media demographics, audience data, and feature opportunities
Ensure timely organization and uploading of relevant client materials and assets to internal servers
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a PR or communications role, preferably within an agency environment
Poised and confident communicator with the ability to represent the agency professionally in front of clients, editors, and partners
Self-starter mindset with strong judgment and the ability to execute responsibilities independently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the media and cultural landscape, with an understanding of how brands operate within luxury, lifestyle, fashion, and hospitality spaces
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Experience with media databases such as Muck Rack is a plus
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
